The basic leather shaving belt, with synthetic canvas backing by Herold® from the German knife town of Solingen. The tool to align, sharpen and polish the authentic open razor prior to shaving.
This stropping belt in size M has a total length including brackets of 46 cm, a belt length of 30 cm and an effective leather surface of 30 x 4.5 cm. This basic shaving belt is made of cowhide leather and has a synthetic canvas back.
The leather part of the shaving belt should be regularly maintained with the yellow shaving cream paste for optimal suppleness and water resistance. It is good to treat the canvas side annually with the white shaving cream paste.
This prevents burning of the canvas due to the repetitive fast movement of the razor over the canvas. During production, this operation has already been carried out by the manufacturer.
If necessary, the belt can also be subtly polished with 'a little' polishing paste. We recommend the use of a tensioning belt for this polishing operation.
